Check-in Policy
•
Guests may check-in anytime between 12:30 to 17:00 on the agreed arrival date. Prior arrangements need to be confirmed in
the event that a check-in is expected to be outside the check-in time.
Failing to do so will result in Dumelang Executive Lodge deeming such an event as a no-show.
•
On the day of check-out, guests have to check-out by 10:00. Should they vacate the unit/s with all their belongings after the
allocated check-out time, they will be liable for a nightly rate charge which will be payable immediately.
•
Guests that have not paid a deposit for a reservation will have to check for availability before checking in as in such cases,
Dumelang Executive Lodge reserves the right to sell the room on a first come- first served basis.
Breakfast
•
The availability of breakfast service must be verified upon inquiring. Guests may then reserve breakfast by way of paying for
it at least 1 day before the arrival date.
Cancellation Policy
•
21 and less days before arrival, the full pre-payment amount will be forfeited. This includes no-shows.
•
22 – 40 days before arrival, 25% of the total amount will be forfeited 41 days and more, 15% will be forfeited.
•
An administration fee of 10% with a minimum of R100 will be charged with full refunds (Please direct all refund requests to
the General Manager).
•
Dumelang Executive Lodge may request a certificate to consider a refund in the case of illness and/or death.

Pre-payments and refundable deposits
•
Pre-payments and refundable deposits may be forfeited in the following cases:
No-shows (the booking dates/times supplied before booking payment is made will apply unless any change is otherwise
confirmed in writing by Dumelang Executive Lodge. In the case of modification of booking dates, “Cancellation policy” applies).
•
Booking times/dates for event hire may not be modified.
•
Early departure (Guest leaves within the paid booking period), but where advance notice is given, the refundable deposit will
be paid back to the guest. For overnight stays, the Dumelang Executive Lodge “ Cancellation policy” applies.
•
A two (2) weeks’ notice applies for monthly stays (such notice is to be done in writing to Dumelang Executive Lodge
accompanied by FULL banking details in order for refundable deposit to be paid within 7 days of departure).
•
For refundable deposits applicable to overnight stays and event hire, the FULL banking details are to be supplied upon
check-out in writing and it will be refunded back to the guest within 24 hours of departure.
•
In the case of refund of pre-payments being made, the “administration fee” will apply.
Refer to cancellation policy. This does not apply to refundable deposits.
•
Venue hire pre-payments and venue hire bookings are forfeited if payment terms are not adhered to.
•
Failure to email us FULL banking details within at least 48 hours from checking out or within 48 hours of cancellation being
confirmed (whichever one applies).
•
Malicious damage to property or vandalism by guest or any person/s that has/ have been allowed onto the property by guest.
•
Non-adherence to guesthouse rules either by guest or any person/s that has/ have been allowed onto the property by guest.
•
Security controls being compromised by guest or any person/s that has/have been allowed onto the property by guest.
•
In the case of breakages/ or damages, these are to be reported immediately to management in writing in order for applicable
arrangements and costs to settled.
•
Where such breakages/ or damages are not reported, guests will forfeit deposit.

Non-adherence of guesthouse rules and/or unruly conduct:
•
Strict measures are in place to ensure the security of all guests/ staff members and the guesthouse and as such non-
compliance of rules or measures in place is not tolerated.
•
Unruly conduct is strictly not tolerated at Dumelang Executive Lodge and in the event of guest/s or any person/s that has/
have been allowed onto the property by guest/s being involved in such behaviour, they will be asked to vacate the premises
without prior notice and will subsequently not be permitted to enter any branch of Dumelang Executive Lodge and will be
denied continued access to any unit or room at the Dumelang Executive Lodge. Any unauthorised entry will lead to legal or
criminal charges being laid.
•
